Crust
1 c butter
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 1/2 c flour
Preheat the oven to 350.
Mix the butter until well whipped. Add the sugar and flour and bead until light and creamy. Press into the bottom of a 9" x 13" baking dish and up the sides. Bake for 13-15 minutes.
Filling
1 1/2c sugar
1 tsp lemon peel
scant 1/3 c lemon juice
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 c flour
3 eggs
Mix the flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. In a big bowl mix the eggs and the lemon zest. Add the juice and whisk. Add the dry ingredients and whisk smooth. Pour over the crust and bake for 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and no longer jiggly.
When it is cool dust the top with powdered sugar, cut into squares and serve.
