makes one 10" tart
Crust
1 egg
1 1/3 c flour
1/2 c butter
pinch of salt
1 Tbs water (more as needed)
Preheat the oven to 350.
Mix the flour, salt and butter until evenly mixed.
Make a well in the center of the flour and add the egg. Slowly mix the flour into the egg. Add water as needed until the dough can form a ball. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick. Press into an ungreased tart pan.
Filling
2 2/3 almonds
2 c sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbs brandy
1 t lemon peel
powdered sugar
Mix all the ingredients. Pour into the tart shell and bake for 50 minutes or until the the top is golden brown and not jiggly. When it is cook sift powered sugar over the top. Use a stencil to make a pattern if you want.
