Tzimmis a la Sheila G

[with David G modifications, 12/17]

 

4 #1 cans of carrots, drained and mashed

            [or 2 kilos carrots, boiled and muleyed]

8 eggs, separated

4 t baking powder

1 c flour

1 c matza meal

[or bread crumbs or crushed tostadas]

2 T hot water

½ pound margarine [butter] cubed

1 ½ c brown/white sugar, mixed

            [or mascarbato]

¼ t canela

            [¼ t clove]

optional: nuts, raisins

            [and/or chopped apricots, dates]

 

 

Whip the egg whites stiff.

Combine all wet ingredients.

Combine all dry ingredients.

Combine everything.

 

 

Cook in 2 greased casseroles, cover while baking.

350 degrees 1 hour or so.
