Best Banana muffins ever!

This was a really good recipe, but then I tweaked it, and now it is AWESOME! Muffins are still good 3-4 days later.
Ingredients
2 mashed bananas
1/3 c. melted butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c buttermilk or yogurt
2 eggs
1/3 c cottage cheese
1 c flour
1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 oats
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 c pecans or walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease a 12 hole muffin tin.
- In a small bowl mash the cottage cheese with the back of a spook until fairly smooth (or until you don't want to do it anymore) .
- In a large bowl mash bananas with a fork.
- Add butter, sugar, buttermilk, eggs,and cottage cheese. Mix well.
- In a small bowl mix dry ingredients.
- Add dry ingredients to wet and mix slightly.
- add nuts. Incorporate well (but don't over mix)
- Spoon into muffin tins.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
When cool, store in an airtight container.
