Spiced Pumpkin Bread

The Best Spiced Pumpkin Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Dry ingredients:                                      Wet ingredients:

3 c. flour                                                  2/3 c. canola oil

2 c. sugar                                                3 eggs, lightly beaten

2 tsp. baking soda                                  1 15-oz. can pumpkin

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. cinnamon                                       Also:

1/4 tsp. cloves                                         1/2 c. golden raisins

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. nutmeg


Combine dry ingredients in one bowl.  In another, whisk the wet ingredients together.  Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and stir until moist.  Fold in the raisins.


Bake for 50-60 minutes.  Makes 2 loaves.
